Two very different sides of Thailand — city temples and safari drive-throughs in Bangkok, then island-hopping out of Phuket.
Our Bangkok run was a family trip built around one big activity a day — temples in the morning, something easier after lunch. Phuket and Phi Phi were the slower, beach half of the same Thailand trip.
MAYA BAY, PHI PHI ISLANDS
A walking tour through the Grand Palace complex — go early, dress modestly (covered shoulders and knees), and expect crowds by mid-morning.
A full day at Safari World — the drive-through safari park is an easy win with kids, giraffes and tigers from the comfort of the car.
A relaxed evening at Asiatique The Riverfront — river breeze, night market stalls, and dinner with a view of the Chao Phraya.
Short domestic flight down to Phuket to start the beach half of the trip — old town, the Big Buddha, and Patong in the days that follow.
Wat Chalong, the Big Buddha viewpoint, and an afternoon wandering Phuket's Sino-Portuguese old town.
A full-day boat trip to Pi Leh Lagoon, Maya Bay and Camel Rock — book the earliest departure you can to beat the crowds into the bay.

November to February is the coolest, driest stretch for both — outside that, expect heat and humidity in Bangkok and a wetter shoulder season in Phuket from May onward.
Thailand offers visa-free entry for Indian passport holders for short tourist stays — always check the current rules on the Thai embassy site before you book, as policies change.
Very — Safari World, Asiatique and the BTS skytrain all made a 4-day trip with kids genuinely easy to manage.
A short domestic flight — about 90 minutes — is the easiest way to connect the two.
